Here’s a billionaire’s morning routine to help you start your day on a positive note

In this blog post, I’ll tell you about the billion-dollar morning routine that I now use to start my day on the right foot.

Why is it important to have a proper morning routine? What’s the billion-dollar morning routine?

You’ll gain a lot if you start your day consciously. That’s why it’s important to take some time off in the morning and focus only on yourself.

The term “billion-dollar morning routine” is frequently used to refer to highly successful people’s daily habits and rituals, with the idea being that these routines contribute to their success and wealth.

However, keep in mind that there’s no such thing as one specific billion-dollar morning routine because everyone’s routine is tailored to their specific needs and goals.

I also understand that everyone has a different schedule. Not all of us wake up at the same time, so I thought I’d come up with a simple morning routine list.

You’ll find some points or tips you can follow to have a better morning. You don’t have to follow these tips in the same order, but I put them in an order that seems logical to me.

The most important thing is to make mornings easier for you. Without further ado, let’s dive into it.

Now it’s time to show you what a billionaire’s morning routine looks like (if you want to be one)

1. Have a consistent bedtime

It all starts the night before. If you go to bed at roughly the same time every night, you can significantly improve the quality of your sleep, get more rest, and wake up feeling refreshed.

If going to bed at the same time every night seems difficult, I recommend giving yourself an hour-long range during which to go to sleep. Consider the time period from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.

You’ll still have some wiggle room if you do this, and you won’t have to crawl under the sheets at exactly 10 p.m. to go to sleep.

If you know you’ll be going to bed at a certain time, you can also mentally begin to prepare yourself for sleep.

2. Get up early

I strongly believe that things must be done in the morning to be completed most efficiently. However, keep in mind that getting up early requires a sufficient amount of quality sleep.

Successful people understand that time is our most valuable asset. As people who usually (but not always) work from 9 to 5, we have complete control over our time only in the morning.

That’s why successful people get up before dawn to fit in as many important activities as they can before taking care of their responsibilities.

If you have trouble getting up, here’s an alarm clock on wheels that will jump off the table, so you HAVE to wake up and chase it. Getting out of bed has never been that easy.

3. The five-second rule

Let’s talk about why the five-second rule is mentioned in this billion-dollar morning routine.

Who among us hasn’t experienced the need to lie in bed for “ten more minutes” after the alarm clock goes off?

Then you accidentally fall back into a deep sleep. Then you press the snooze button and wake up even more sleepy and grumpy.

This is where the 5-second rule comes in handy. The rule states that you have exactly 5 seconds after the alarm clock goes off to get up.

You count to five (mentally or aloud; it’s up to you) and then just get up. This is supposed to prevent you from falling asleep again.

4. Always get up at the same time every day

Even if you occasionally wish you could sleep longer, waking up at the same time every morning is very beneficial because it reduces the guilt of sleeping in during the day and makes you feel much better.

Besides, if you get up early, you’ll have more time to do all of your favorite activities.

5. Don’t look at any screen for an hour

Stay away from social media and email in the morning to avoid stress. If you must read something, choose a good book instead (here’s my all-time favorite book).

We could all avoid reaching for our phones, tablets, or laptops for the first hour or two of the day. It’s easier said than done, but try to strictly follow the rule. It works wonders.

6. Cleanse your gut

I know you might be surprised to find cleansing your gut on this billionaire’s morning routine checklist, but hear me out.

The gut is referred to as our “second brain.”

This is because the health of the gut microbiome has a direct impact on the brain and, thus, our mood.

For example, the gut produces the majority of serotonin, also known as the “happiness hormone.” So, it’s important that your intestines work well.

There are many views on the necessity of detox treatment because your body normally removes waste products quite efficiently on its own.

However, if your mind appears to be constantly dull and lacking in energy, you could consider a detox.

A detox doesn’t have to mean drinking expensive shakes or fasting. What you can do is just start the day with warm lemon water.

It provides energy for the morning and aids digestion. Lemon is also high in vitamin C and potassium, both of which boost immunity.

7. Do stretching exercises for 15 minutes

If you’re awake but still groggy, it’s time to stretch. It doesn’t matter if it’s 15 minutes of yoga or simple stretches.

It stimulates your body, which acts on your brain similarly to a cup of espresso (which I also love…).

It’s a great way to wake up, especially if you don’t like coffee. Open the window and stretch so that your body starts to recognize that it’s time to wake up.

The open window lets in a cool morning breeze that refreshes both your body and your senses.

8. Get some exercise

The lymphatic system’s functions are to cleanse the body of waste products and boost immunity.

The accumulation of residues in the body can result in a variety of problems, such as swelling, indigestion, and skin problems.

Fortunately, exercise can easily activate your lymphatic system.

Because our days are often hectic, it’s best to exercise first thing in the morning. Exercise also wakes up your brain, allowing the day to begin.

Several studies have found that training in the morning is more effective than training later in the day. Here’s a resistance band set that I personally use, love, and swear by.

9. Cold shower therapy

A cold shower causes an adrenaline rush and a burst of energy in your body.

It also stimulates blood circulation and serves as a good wake-up call, preparing you for the day’s challenges, which is why it should be in your billion-dollar morning routine.

Start with warm water, wash, and gradually cool the water. The cool water may startle you at first, but it won’t actually harm you. Stay under cold water for 30 seconds, then return to warm water.

TIP: If you don’t have time for a full shower, wash your face three times with cold water.

10. Make coffee more functional

I know that a lot of people add collagen to their morning coffee. Why is adding collagen to coffee suggested?

Collagen is supposed to improve your skin’s complexion, make your hair and nails grow better, relieve joint pain, and prevent the bone loss that comes with aging.

According to research, adding collagen powder to hot coffee has no effect on supplement quality when brewed at 195–205 °F (90–96 °C), so there’s no need to worry about it.

You can order a suitable collagen supplement online here.

11. A nutritious breakfast

Many people believe that breakfast isn’t necessary. They do, however, feel bad all day and won’t realize that the lack of breakfast is the cause.

A good and healthy breakfast gives you a good feeling and the energy you need to get through the day.

Drink a glass of room-temperature water (with lemon, as I recommended before) 15–30 minutes before a meal to stimulate your digestive system.

Then prepare a nutritious smoothie, porridge, or omelet. Whatever you choose to eat, please don’t skip breakfast; it’s important and gives you a good boost for the day.

12. Write and meditate

Meditation is self-evident. There’s no need to explain the benefits of meditation. However, if you feel like you’re not a big fan of meditation, it’s also recommended to just jot down your ideas.

According to research, starting the day more consciously leads to a better day than diving right into social media after opening your eyes.

13. Be thankful

When we’re tired, negativity takes over easily. Practicing gratitude is a good way to help you notice positive things, even when life is hectic.

A gratitude journal like this one is a useful tool for cultivating positivity. The best part is that it only takes a few minutes per day.

Make a list of the things you are grateful for right now and write them down in a notebook. Or you can just make a list of the three things that bring you joy.

14. Do a three-minute exercise

This exercise, if done every morning, can help you change your life. To do so, you must first answer three critical questions:

What is my main goal for today? What do I appreciate? What am I willing to let go of?

When you wake up in the morning, ask yourself these questions first. You can write your answers on paper or in a journal, or you can simply think them through and record them on your phone.

You can set a timer and limit yourself to three minutes.

What makes it work? Combining these three topics will help you understand what you already have, what you no longer need, and what you want to accomplish.

By starting your day in this manner, you establish the day’s mantra and eliminate the need to constantly think about problems and tasks.

This way, you can create a clear direction for your day and clear your mind of excess. You also commit to a specific goal, which ensures that you’ll achieve it.

Try it! It will only take you three minutes or less, and you’ll almost certainly feel better and be more productive as a result.

15. Prepare your daily schedule

If you forgot to make plans for the day the night before, now is obviously the last and best time to do so.

You don’t have to write everything down in detail, but even a rough daily schedule in terms of hours will help you stay on track with your responsibilities.

If possible, schedule the more difficult tasks at the start of the day so that you can happily tackle the easier tasks in the evening after lunch.

Make a list of your other daily tasks and get started right away.

Doing so provides you with a good overview of what awaits you during the day and allows you to better plan your time.

16. Listen to music or a podcast

Listening to good music is one of the most common activities that will improve your day. The best way is to create a playlist of your favorite songs that always make you happy.

Another option is to start listening to a podcast that consistently makes you laugh. Both provide a good charge for the entire day, making you feel alert.

17. Maintain a positive attitude

Whether you call it a million-dollar morning routine or a billion-dollar morning routine, do something that brings you joy.

Even on the most boring days, successful people find something to look forward to, which motivates them to get through it.

Successful people carve out time in their morning routine for themselves, whether it’s reading a book with coffee or looking at inspiring pictures. It’s much easier to face the day this way.

For example, interact with strangers. Chatting on the bus or while waiting for the bus in the morning is a good opportunity.

According to studies, people who talk to strangers in the morning are much happier during the day.

Take a nice selfie on your way to work. It helps you avoid stressful thoughts and boosts your mood because you are GORGEOUS.

Come up with a nice plan for the next day. Even if it’s just lunch with friends or a significant other, anticipating and planning something makes us happy.

Also, think about what you’ll do in the evening. Choose whether you want to cook something delicious or just go to the gym. It also provides a positive feeling for the day.

Here’s a 3-minute positivity journal that aims to boost your mood, train your mind, and change your life in only 3 minutes a day!

18. Work on your personal projects

After long and exhausting work days, painting, reading, and crafting often take a back seat.

This is why many successful people prefer to spend their early morning hours pursuing their personal interests.

Putting personal interests first and working on them before the start of the workday makes everything else much more enjoyable.

Knowing that you have also taken care of your inner passion, you walk out the door every morning with a smile on your face, relaxed, and balanced.

19. Spend time with your loved ones

I decided to include spending time with your loved ones in this billion-dollar morning routine list because I recently read that many wise people prefer to spend time with their families in the quiet morning hours.

We often avoid long conversations in the evenings after a long day at work.

It’s only in the early hours of the morning that you can listen to the impressions of the previous day with your loved one and children and think about the future together.

With a clear head and an open mind, the time spent together is far more valuable than clicking channels in front of the TV like a zombie.

20. Read the news

That doesn’t mean you have to respond to every beep on your phone, but it’s worth staying up-to-date on the day’s most important news.

You’ll also avoid embarrassing situations at work where you’re unaware of current events. Besides, finding time for this during the day can be difficult.

21. Even if you don’t intend to leave the house, keep it tidy

Even if you’re going to spend the entire day at home, make your bed and get dressed.

You don’t have to put on a prom gown or evening makeup, but looking good makes you feel better about yourself and therefore guarantees a more productive day.

22. Drink plenty of water

Because your body loses a lot of liquid while sleeping, starting your day with a glass of water makes sense.

But don’t forget to drink water throughout the day because it promotes wakefulness, hydrates the body, refreshes the skin, aids digestion, and doesn’t dull our senses as coffee does.

Did you know that a glass of water before breakfast has been shown to improve digestion by making it easier for your stomach to break down the meal?

Then you won’t overeat during breakfast either. Here’s a motivational water bottle for you that’s guaranteed to help you reach your daily water intake goal.
